Septic Tank Pumping / Septic Tank cleanout

Here are some signs that your septic system needs maintenance. Possibly just a septic tank clean out:

  1. Pooling water
  2. One good indicator that your septic tank needs to be pumped is if you have standing water around your drainfield or your tank. Pooling water usually indicates that your septic tank is full. A normal working tank water flows down your drain field, but when it those lines are clogged, it causes water to backup into your yard.
  3. Foul Odors
  4. A normal working septic system will not have any usually foul smells. All the waste water from your house is contained underground and is dispersed through your drain field. If you notice a foul smell your septic system should be examined for problems, or you need to have your septic tank cleaned/pumped out.
  5. Slow drains
  6. If you notice your drains are slow or you have gurgling sounds when water is going down the sink or toilet is a good indicator that your septic system has issues. It could be a full tank, a clog drain line or your drain field has blockages not allowing the tank to naturally break down the waste. Call Allgood Septic Services to have them properly identify the issue and perform a septic tank pump out.
  7. Sewage backup into your house
  8. This issue is the worst for a home owner to deal with. A clogged septic system can cause the sewage to backup in your house and cause a smelly mess to clean up inside your home. Plus, you have to get the septic system serviced immediately to prevent damage to your home.
